From Dyslexic to Davos – and Everything in Between

Over the past 48 years, it’s been a wild and wonderfully unconventional journey. I’ve worked with global names like Nissan, Red Bull Formula 1, Cathay Pacific, WWF, The Wall Street Journal, Motorola, Samsung, KPMG Consulting, and Kellogg’s — Each chapter adding to a life lived without dull moments.

Diagnosed with dyslexia early on, I was later featured in Forbes for my story — a journey that has taken me from corporate boardrooms to writing a viral LinkedIn article that challenged one of the world’s largest advertising agencies, generating over 10 million impressions. That same path led me to speak at the World Economic Forum in Davos.

While living in Hong Kong, I became Asia’s leading charity wildlife photographer, capturing stories that mattered—while adopting five rescue dogs, all of whom now happily call the Azores home.

Today, I co-own and run The Solar Branco Eco Estate on São Miguel Island, creating one of Portugal’s most sustainable eco-hotels. I’m also the creator and master distiller behind Ghosts of The Ocean gin, and founder of The Gin Library—the world’s largest private collection and bar dedicated to gin.

As patron of the Ocean Azores Foundation, I’m dedicated to preserving one of the planet’s most vital whale sanctuaries—working to promote sustainable tourism and marine conservation across the archipelago.
